How to commission custom-designed banners, murals, icons, scrolls with Anne C. Brink

The process I use in creating commissioned scripture-based art is to me as important as the finished product. Working together on designing an artwork -- a banner, mural, icon, scroll, etc. - can be thought-provoking, educational, spiritually enlightening, not to mention fun.

The steps we would go through are:

1. You choose a scripture verse, story, song etc.

2. We talk about its importance, meaning to you.

3. We discuss location, use, size, colors etc. for the artwork to be created.

4. I make sketches to scale in black and white.

5. Discussion/suggestions/revisions lead to final sketches (to which I can add color, if desired).

6. We agree on price, date of delivery, any special payment terms, any dedication, installation, or use in worship services.

7. Delivery of custom artwork; possible dedication, installation, worship service.
